Decadent Cheddar Quick Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg

Directions:

1. Preheat the Oven:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5 inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients:

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Whisk until well combined.

3. Add Cheese:

  1. Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, making sure the cheese is evenly distributed throughout the flour mixture.

4. Mix Wet Ingredients:

  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, vegetable oil, and egg until well combined.

5. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:

  1. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined, being careful not to overmix. The batter will be thick.

6. Pour Batter into Pan:

  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it out evenly.

7. Bake:

  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the top is golden brown.

8. Cool and Serve:

  1. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  2. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
