orange blossom balls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup crushed vanilla wafers
  • 1 cup ground almonds (or almond meal)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 3 tbsp orange juice
  • 1 tbsp orange blossom water (adjust to taste)
  • Extra powdered sugar (for coating)

Instructions

  1. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the crushed vanilla wafers, ground almonds, and powdered sugar. Stir until evenly combined.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients: Add the orange zest, orange juice, and orange blossom water to the dry mixture. Stir well until the mixture is moist and holds together when pressed.
  3. Form Balls: Take a small amount of the mixture and roll it into 1-inch balls. Repeat until all of the mixture is used.
  4. Coat: Roll each ball in powdered sugar to coat. For a lighter coating, dust off any excess.
  5. Chill: Place the balls on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This helps them firm up and enhances the flavor.
  6. Serve: Enjoy chilled, or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
