- 1 cup crushed vanilla wafers
- 1 cup ground almonds (or almond meal)
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- Zest of 1 orange
- 3 tbsp orange juice
- 1 tbsp orange blossom water (adjust to taste)
- Extra powdered sugar (for coating)
Instructions
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the crushed vanilla wafers, ground almonds, and powdered sugar. Stir until evenly combined.
- Add Wet Ingredients: Add the orange zest, orange juice, and orange blossom water to the dry mixture. Stir well until the mixture is moist and holds together when pressed.
- Form Balls: Take a small amount of the mixture and roll it into 1-inch balls. Repeat until all of the mixture is used.
- Coat: Roll each ball in powdered sugar to coat. For a lighter coating, dust off any excess.
- Chill: Place the balls on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. This helps them firm up and enhances the flavor.
- Serve: Enjoy chilled, or store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.
