Introduction
Cheesy Chicken Fritters are juicy, golden-brown patties made from tender chicken breast, rich cheese, and herbs.
They’re quick to prepare and perfect as a main course, party appetizer, or snack.
Crispy on the outside and soft inside, these fritters are sure to become a family favorite.
Ingredients
2 chicken breasts (about 500g), finely chopped or ground
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/3 cup mayonnaise
2 eggs
1/3 cup all-purpose flour (or almond flour for low carb)
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or dill
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp paprika (optional)
2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
Instructions
Prepare the chicken: Finely chop the chicken breasts or use ground chicken. Place in a large mixing bowl.
Mix the ingredients: Add shredded cheese, mayo, eggs, flour, minced garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, and paprika to the chicken. Mix until well combined.
Chill the mixture (optional): Refrigerate the mixture for 15–20 minutes for easier shaping.
Heat oil: In a large non-stick skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.
Form fritters: Scoop spoonfuls of the mixture into the skillet and flatten slightly into patties.
Cook: Fry each side for 3–4 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
Drain & Serve: Transfer fritters to a paper towel–lined plate to remove excess oil. Serve warm.
Description
These Cheesy Chicken Fritters are packed with savory flavor and have a tender, cheesy inside with a crispy exterior. The combination of cheese and herbs elevates the simple chicken into a crave-worthy dish. Great with a dip like sour cream, garlic aioli, or a spicy mayo.
Tips
Use mozzarella for that classic cheese pull, or mix in cheddar or pepper jack for added flavor.
Don’t overcook or they may dry out—just until golden and the center is no longer pink.
Chill the batter to make shaping easier.
You can use a food processor to chop the chicken finely if you don’t want to do it manually.
Variations
Spicy: Add chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
Low-carb: Replace flour with almond flour or coconut flour.
Vegetable-loaded: Add grated zucchini or carrots (squeeze moisture out first).
Baked option: Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 15–18 minutes, flipping halfway.
Correction
If the fritters fall apart while cooking, add a little more flour or an extra egg to help bind them. If they’re too dry, reduce the flour slightly or add a tablespoon of cream.
Enjoy
Serve your cheesy chicken fritters hot, paired with your favorite dip and a side salad or roasted veggies. Whether it’s lunch, dinner, or party time—just dig in and enjoy every bite
